Some rhetoric amounting to a bowl of turds
in Time of Trump does not seem truly odd.
A U. S. Secretary really spoke these words
(No kidding! Honest Injun! Swear to God!):
“The likes of which the World has never seen before”
referring to more sanctions on Iran,
the kind the world has seen uncounted times and more.
So much for thoughts that we might have a plan.
Each member of his cabinet a crushing bore
most eager, like a trained seal, to applaud
each time our President ignites a needless war
and leaves them slack-jawed, stunned, and overawed.
For centuries, millennia, and longer,
Hot Air has not made anyone the stronger.

The Treasury and “War” departments both agree
with Trump, that sticks, not carrots, work the best.
Our Secretary Bessent (not alone is he,
as Secretary Hegseth might attest)
has demonstrated sycophantic loyalty
to Donald Trump (upon which Trump insists).
The Cabinet a pseudo-primate royalty:
chimpanzees, not gorillas, in the mists.
work hard at teaching donkeys not to show their teeth
and adversaries not to hit right back.
And so, to all who deal with us do we bequeath
a cease-fire just before our next attack.
“What cause have I to war for thee,” a Greek inquired.
“No Trojan ever injured me”. Call me retired.

A problematic slogan we must now confess
concerns that acronym on baseball hats.
Four letters; last two “G” and “A” explain the mess.
Like orchestras who can’t tell sharps from flats,
the MAGA mavens cannot spell the key word “GRATE.”
We tried that Empire thing and badly flopped.
Why keep on doing what we know the world will hate?
“What do we mean AGAIN?” We’ve still not stopped.
Cheap merchandise, a trademark of the Trump campaign,
or MAGA – rhymes with “gaga” – means the same:
enthusiasm absent access to a brain,
exploited baldly; not an ounce of shame.
Please Make America Stop Grating on our nerves.
Then step aside and see what Peace this slogan serves.
